Come and die… come and Die with me! Those lyrics by rapper Fatal come to mind when playing 187: Ride or Die. Taking you into an over-the-top experience, the game resembles the gangland feel of the movie Judgement Night, where there’s excitement, danger and mayhem, but it’s a little too much to be seriously scary. Ubisoft hits this point intentionally in its development of 187. Officially set to release in Q3 of this year, the game is a driver, but definitely not in competition with the current field

Recently announced for the PlayStation, the Xbox and Windows, Heroes of the Pacific is a flight combat game that puts players at the controls of the fiercest fighter planes of WWII, in an era where dog-fighting and aerial combat skill meant the difference between victory or defeat for the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Let’s clear one small thing up here, all right? This isn’t really SNK’s first foray into the realm of 3D. Before this, they had the Samurai Shodown games on NeoGeo CD, 64 and Warrior’s Rage, neither of which are worth the considerable effort they take to find; and Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition, an excellent game on extremely rare hardware, which is unfortunately better known for a terrifically botched PSOne port.
So this, King of Fighters: Maximum Impact, is really SNK’s fourth foray into 3D, and the
