Activision, Inc. is setting a new course for the popular Starfleet Command franchise with the announcement of Star Trek Starfleet Command III for the PC. A tactical starship simulator, Star Trek Starfleet Command III will be the first title in the game series to take place in the Star Trek: The Next Generation timeline. Star Trek Starfleet Command III is expected to be available Autumn 2002.

In this sequel to the critically acclaimed first person action game, players resume the role of Alexander Munro, chief of the Hazard Team, Starfleet’s elite security unit. Now assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-E, players will explore strange new worlds, battle against both new and familiar civilizations and go on the most dangerous assignments in the galaxy. the patch for Star Trek: Armada II, upgrading their space-based RTS to version 1.1. The 12.7 MB download offers several gameplay and interface enhancements, a number of multiplayer improvements, bug fixes and more, all listed in detail in the included Readme file.

The Star Trek Bridge Commander website has been updated with four new shots with one showing the ship registry decal map for the U.S.S. Dauntless.
