MMO developer Red 5 Studios, founded by key members of the World of Warcraft team, announced that Scott Youngblood, acclaimed lead designer of StarSiege: Tribes, Tribes 2, and alternate-reality game Majestic, has accepted an undisclosed position at the Aliso Viejo, California studio.

1C and Battlefront.com announced that Theatre of War has officially gone gold! Theatre of War, previously known as WWII RTS and Battlefield Command, depicts authentic battles of World War II between 1939-1945. Command hundreds of different unit types in 5 historically accurate campaigns (US, UK, Soviet, German, French and Polish).

The ESRB has been the revealing source of various titles coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, and today a listing was spotted for id Software's multiplayer sci-fi shooter Quake III: Team Arena. If the listing is true, the Xbox Live Arcade version is being ported to the Xbox 360 by Texas-based Pi Studios, known for various Activision titles (Call of Duty) and currently working on the Halo 2 Vista Editor as well as porting Pandemic's Mercenaries 2 to the PS2.

Double Fusion announced that it has added upcoming titles from THQ to its premium network. The agreement grants Double Fusion advertising representation across certain platforms for a number of THQ's highly anticipated titles, such as Juiced, MX vs ATV and Stuntman franchises.

A little while ago, a Ubisoft release list featured a yet-unannounced title, Tom Clancy's Firehawk, which was later removed and has not been heard of since. A check on firehawkgame.com reveals a blank site, registered by Ubisoft, which has now also launched a new teaser page Rev64.com without any title reference, but featuring the Tom Clancy icon/logo. For the fourth time, Nintendo raised its sales and profit forecast for the business year that ended March 31, mainly thanks to high demand for its DS titles, as well as the Wii console. Sales were up 7% ($8.1 billion) compared to last year, beating analysts' expected 3% increase. In the past business year, eight of the 10 best-selling games in Japan were DS titles. In February, Nintendo sold more than twice as many Wii's in Japan and the U.S. than Sony's PS3. Stock prices rose 2%, nearly doubling in value over the last 12 months.
