THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced "WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain," the latest addition to their multi-million unit selling World Wrestling Entertainment videogame franchise. "WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain," exclusively for the PS2, marks the third installment in the highly successful SmackDown! Series. According to NPD TRST, the SmackDown! series has sold more than 4.7 million units on the PlayStation and PS2 in North America since 1999. "WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain" features all the action, excitement and attitude of World Wrestling Entertainment and is scheduled for release this fall.

THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced the North American release of their newest World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE) licensed video game, "WWE Raw" for the PC. "WWE Raw" allows players to go one-on-one with high-flying athletes and brutal brawlers in a variety of match types based on the poplar cable program that airs every Monday night on The Nashville Network. Videogame sales of THQ/JAKKS World Wrestling Entertainment license have exceeded more than $300 million in the U.S. since 1999.

A press release from THQ UK that was sent out today stated that a PC version of their Microsoft Xbox wrestling action game WWE Raw would be released to stores in November in that country. After talking with a THQ US public relations represenative today,
HomeLAN can confirm that the PC version of WWE Raw will also appear in stores in the US this fall. According to the PR rep, the PC version will be a straight port of the Xbox game with no additional gameplay content. This will be the first time that THQ has released a PC port of its WWE wrestling console action titles (
