Ubisoft today announced Rayman DS, Sprung and Asphalt Urban GT as official launch-window titles in the U.S. for the upcoming release of the Nintendo DS system. In fact, Asphalt Urban GT is one of only five launch-day titles arriving on store shelves nationwide on November 23, 2004, at the manufacturers suggested retail price of $29.99.

Ubisoft and Universal Studios Consumer Products Group today announced plans to release an interactive game based on Universal Pictures’ upcoming motion picture adventure, King Kong. Ubisoft today announced Secret of the Silver Earring, a new interactive murder mystery inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Ubisoft today is proud to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with Square Enix. By now we all know that Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson has been tapped to do a remake of the classic King Kong movie. Starring Adrien Brody from "The Piano" and not comedian Jack Black (recently seen in The School Of Rock), Gamespot got the confirmation from Ubisoft people that they are indeed publishing (or maybe also developing?) a game based on the movie, to coincide with the theatrical release, somewhere in 2005. No specific details are available at this time, but with E3 drawing closer we hopefully won't have to wait much longer.

Last week gamers who purchased Ubisoft's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow for the Xbox, experienced an Xbox Live problem, today Ubisoft issued the following statement : "Some gamers who acquired the Xbox version of Ubisoft's critically acclaimed Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow have experienced problems using the game's online multiplayer features. Specifically, after logging onto Xbox Live and selecting the "optimatch" function, players discovered that waiting for more than about 10 seconds on the optimatch results screen causes the game to freeze indefinitely." Ubisoft today announced the acquisition of Austin-based Wolfpack Studios, the developer of Shadowbane. The critically acclaimed massively multiplayer online (MMO) game for the PC and Mac platforms and its recently launched expansion pack, Shadowbane: The Rise of Chaos, are operated and supported by Ubisoft's online gaming division, ubi.com, which is among the top five gaming portals in the world.
