Shortly after CEO Christoph Syring resigned from CDV, the German develioper/publisher has sold off several of its upcoming key titles. Licenses to three of its top titles, War Front: Turning Point, Panzer Tactics and Jack Keane have been bought up by newcomer GDD Games Development, for a undisclosed amount of money. What this means in terms of release dates or delays is not known. CDV North America could not be reached before press time.

The History Channel and CDV USA have partnered through The History Channel website to offer history buffs a chance to win Roman treasures. CDV is awarding winners with a copy of its city building and management simulation game Glory of the Roman Empire, in addition to a DVD of The History Channel's Rome: Engineering an Empire special.

In response to consumer demand, CDV announced that it will be migrating to the TAGES copy protection for future game releases, starting with Glory of the Roman Empire, scheduled to ship on June 26 across North America. "We believe that TAGES will provide a sensible balance between protecting CDV’s intellectual property rights against piracy, while at the same time minimizing the restrictions experienced by legitimate owners of our products," explained CDV’s Chief Technology Officer, Teut Weidemann.

CDV has entered into two distribution agreements with DreamCatcher Inc. As part of this agreement, DreamCatcher will distribute Glory of the Roman Empire for CDV in North America. Additionally, CDV will exclusively distribute all German language versions of DreamCatcher’s upcoming 2006 video game titles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

CDV announced its planned lineup of six exciting titles that will be on display at the 2006 E3 in Los Angeles. The titles include War Front: Turning Point and DarkStar One, along with Panzer Tactics DS, the first World War II turn-based strategy game developed for the NDS.

CDV USA has signed a co-publishing agreement with Buka Entertainment that will cover multiple titles to be released in the United States, Canada and Mexico for the next five years. The first two titles to be released under this agreement will be Pacific Storm and Hard Truck Apocalypse.

CDV announced today that it has signed a two-publishing title agreement with Enlight to enter the MMO market. CDV has signed with Enlight to bring its MMO Imagine to Europe and North America, and in a second stage, the two companies will develop a new western-based MMO, scheduled for 2008.

CDV today announced a publishing agreement with Monte Cristo to release the English language version of City Life in North America. City Life is a city builder that gives players the opportunity to build and manage a modern day metropolis in a fully 3D world. In the game, players will make decisions that will affect the lives of millions of citizens, for better or worse.

CDV and developer Digital Reality have today announced the formation of a new studio with the express goal of creating top-tier strategy titles for next-generation consoles and handhelds. The new company will operate under the name WHIZ Software Kft. The studio's first title is expected to ship in Q4 2007, more details coming soon ...

CDV has entered into a publishing agreement with Ascaron to publish Ascaron titles (Tortuga: Two Treasures and Darkstar One) in North America in 2006. As part of the agreement, Ascaron will likewise represent CDV titles in the United Kingdom.

CDV has signed a co-publishing agreement with Enlight Software to release three PC strategy titles in North America this year, Glory of the Roman Empire, Hotel Empire 2 and Seven Kingdoms: Conquest.

CDV USA today announced an agreement with digital distribution outlet Trymedia Games, which will enable consumers to electronically download and purchase select CDV videogame titles. In addition, the service will allow consumers to try complete game versions before buying them.

CDV announces a new partnership with Budapest-based development studio Digital Reality. The goal of this effort will be to introduce a new series of co-designed and jointly-developed strategy games with rich, immersive game play and genre redefining graphics for the Next-Gen console market.

CDV announced today that they have secured the North American retail rights to Combat Mission 3: Afrika Corps (Special Edition), in development by the team at Battlefront.com. This special retail-only edition includes 65 new scenarios and 15 new operations, guaranteeing gamers hours of exciting game play.

CDV today announced that they have secured the publishing rights to Hammer & Sickle, a PC gaming title set in the award-winning Silent Storm universe, and currently in development by Nival Interactive.

CDV Software Entertainment and City Interactive signed a distribution agreement. CDV will distribute City's upcomming space action game "Project Freedom" in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The game will be released end of April/ beginning May 2004 at SRP of 29,99 EURO.

Today CDV announced their lineup for 2004, revealing quite a few interesting developments. Breed is about to hit the streets, but CDV/Brat Designs seems to be already working on an addon for end of the year. CDV Software today announced the release of a Cossacks Anthology scheduled for October 10th 2003 in Germany, October 17th in France, October 24th in the UK and October 31st in the USA. The Anthology will be a collector’s bundle, containing all parts of the million-selling Cossacks series: Cossacks: European Wars as well as the add-ons Cossacks: Back to War and Cossacks: The Art of War. CDV Entertainment announces the simultaneous worldwide release of their latest 3D-RTS-Game No Man's Land – Fight For Your Rights which will hit shelves August 2003. In No Man's Land, the player leads the colonisation of the American continent between 1600 and 1900. In three campaigns, divided into 30 diversified missions, the player sees the historical development of this era from the viewpoint of six different ethnic groups: Englishmen, settlers, American patriots, Spaniards, Forest- and Prairie Indians.
