Guitar Hero: World Tour will feature guitar, vocals, drums, the ability to create your own songs (and upload them on GHTunes), four-player on/offline co-op, and an eight-player battle of the bands multiplayer mode (4vs4). The Smashing Pumpkins' new single G.L.O.W. will debut on World Tour, together with classic tracks 1979 and The Everlasting Gaze. In addition, singer, songwriter and lead guitarist Billy Corgan as an in-game character and will bring with him 1993's hit Today.

Resistance 2 will feature 8-player, story-driven online co-op separate from the regular single-player campaign, 60-player online PvP (Heavy, Special Ops, Medic classes) and more vehicles, including The Chameleon, a Stalker with full cloak. Sony announced that a worldwide competitive online multiplayer and co-operative beta will begin in early October.

Crystal Dynamics has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic with fluid movements due to motion capturing. Set a few years after the last game, it also features persistent destruction and lush locales across the globe. Lara gets muddy in the game, but with the weather system, rain will wash it away.

Multiwinia will combine elements of Darwinia, with the addition of multiplayer support which will enable both co-op and competitive battles between massive Darwinian armies.

Tenchu 4, developed by Acquire, will see the return of the two main characters, Rikimaru et Ayame, tasked with investigating the disappearance of Gouda Matsunoshin's daughter Kiku. More infiltration, more environmental interaction, combos, and of course use of the Wiimote for aiming at the screen.

Gauntlet is a modern reworking of the classic fantasy hack and slash arcade game. Choose from the four heroes (Elf, Warrior, Wizard, and Valkyrie) each with their own strengths, weaknesses and special abilities. Slash your way through demonic foes and gain up to four power move abilities to aid you in your battle with evil.

While the weekend is being dominated by PAX, Microsoft Japan held its 4th annual press conference in Tokyo, where it ran through its fall lineup of titles. Starting off with showing that hardware sales have spiked, especially since the Tales of Vesperia launch last month, Microsoft revealed it is bringing over Fable 2, Fallout 3, HAWX, Mass Effect, Oblivion and Winning Eleven. New titles revealed are Namco-Bandai/KOEI's mecha game Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM 2 and From Software's cinematic action game Ninja Blade, produced by Lost Planet's designer Keiji Nakoka. Microsoft also announced it is cutting the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade model by 8,000 yen ($73.92) to 19,800 yen (making it cheaper than the Wii), as well as the 2 hard drive-enabled models by 5,000-8,000 yen.
