According to German Gamestar magazine, Epic's Jay Wilbur revealed at the Tokyo Game Show that UT 2007 has been further delayed, until Q2/Q3 2007. While Epic never announced an official release date, Sony initially mentioned it was to be a launch title, and while many retailers had it listed for end of the year, a few months ago The Inquirer reported it was postponed until 2007. Specific reasons for the delay were of course not provided, but it is safe to assume the extra development time will be used to polish the game.

A few days ago Sony's Ken Kutaragi's TGS 06 keynote speech revealed that the PS3 would be backwards compatible with 16 bit games on the MegaDrive/Genesis, much like the Nintendo Wii.
