In an
interview with Ain't It Cool News, Ritual's VP of development Tom Mustaine revealed that they are looking into bringing its episodic game to next-gen consoles. "We’re gunna do a 360 version at some point in the future. We haven’t finalized those plans yet so I haven’t really announced it yet. But we will be doing it. We also are hoping to be doing a PS 3 version as well. We were looking at Marketplace for the 360 because episodic on Marketplace would make a lot of sense."

XS Games revealed today that it has picked up the rights to one of former Acclaim's high-profile titles, The Red Star. Initially scheduled for current-gen platforms, XS Games is currently focussing on the PS2 version, and the fate of the Xbox edition remains to be seen. The Red Star takes place in a parallel fantasy universe in which a mythic empire based on the Soviet Union sets the landscape for an epic battle of militarized sorcery and monolithic technology.

Microsoft has filed a countersuit against Lucent Technologies, contending that Lucent infringes upon several Microsoft patents.
