EA announced today that it is lowering prices on its upcoming current generation PS2 and Xbox prices. This week Fight Night Round 3 is getting released, and should be in most retail stores by now, and gamers will only have to pay $39.99 for it, instead of the usual $49.99. But EA is not stopping with this one title, as also The Godfather and BLACK will be sold at that same price, a 20% reduction.

The past week a rumor was floating around MMO maker NCSoft could be working on its first single-player title, an action/rpg. Today at the start of the Taipei Game Show, Dungeon Runners was revealed. While details are still in short supply, such as whether it is an MMO or single-player product, we did manage to get the first screens. An official announcement should be coming up shortly.

Last week Atari revealed that due to its poor financial state it might have to sell off most of its in-house development studios. As a result,
Shiny Ent.'s founder David Perry resigned in order to spend more time trying to raise interest by potential buyers, start a bidding war and then rejoin the company. Perry explains the somewhat odd move due to him being on various boards and that he did not want to step on anybody's toes inside Atari, and he claims to have various interested parties already. Shiny currently has 56 employees and is working on an Earthworm Jim sequel (
