Valve announced today that it is content with the reception after recently releasing Counter-Strike: Source maps de_inferno and de_port, and on that note, give us a look at what's coming next. This week, Valve has released
a couple of screenshots from the remake of the classic Counter-Strike map cs_assault, which is now set in downtown Chicago. During E3 Activision started a
Guess The City Contest for the public to try and find out (ends 11:59 p.m. PT on June 16, 2005) which location its True Crime sequel will take place. "A number of additional accounts and CD keys have been tied to the use of a hack or cheat program while playing Warcraft III on Battle.net. In keeping with our aggressive stance against cheating, we have permanently closed 53,928 Warcraft III accounts. 8,168 of the Warcraft III CD keys used with the now-closed accounts have been banned from ladder play for one month, and 3,331 more have been banned from ladder play permanently. Repeat offenders risk having their CD keys disabled, which will result in the permanent removal of their copies of Warcraft III from Battle.net."

French developer Nadeo has no intentions of taking a break, as today they announced no less than two addons for Trackmania. Its latest product, Trackmania Sunrise, is getting a free downlodable expansion pack dubbed Trackmania Sunrise eXtreme, featuring new and more insane tracks than ever before. On top of that, the first Trackmania title is getting a revamp and will be re-released in October using the new Sunrise engine including a few new additions to the original 2003 release.

DUSK2DAWN Interactive Limited (D2D) announced today it has signed Neverend, described as Final Fantasy meets Fable, from Slovak developer Mayhem Studios. Opening up a rich and highly detailed game world, Neverend puts the player into the boots of Agavaen, a descendant of the ancient fairies (a noble race of warriors and wizards). Neverend, which has taken its inspiration from the fabulous Final Fantasy RPG adventure games, will be released during Q3 2005.
