Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XI Vana'diel Collection 2007 will ship to retailers on November 7, 2006. This Collection combines the FF XI stand-alone product as well as the Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia and Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion packs, and a new foldout Quick Manual that includes a world map and a starter's guide.

Based on the results of an investigation, over 2,000 PlayOnline accounts have been either suspended or terminated on Jul. 21, 2006 for the malicious and intentional use of these third-party tools. Square-Enix reminds players that the use of any third-party tools will not only destroy the in-game balance, but will also encourage RMT (Real Money Trade) activities, and will therefore continued to be banned.

Back at the Final Fantasy XI fan festival 2006 in Santa Monica, Square Enix surprised fans by announcing that, at some point, they would be able to raise their own Chocobos. Since then the developers have been busy working out a system to implement this, and announced today that it will be included in the next version update!
