Square Enix has announced the Japanese release date of Final Fantasy XII for the PlayStation 2. The long-awaited role-playing game (RPG) will ship to retailers in Japan on March 16, 2006, while the North American version is scheduled for release later in 2006.

Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy XI: The Vana'diel Collection will ship to retailers on August 16th, 2005. Including the expansion packs Rise of the Zilart, and Chains of Promathia as well as Tetra Master, the wildly popular and addictive mini-game, the special gold foil All-In-One packaging will carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Square Enix announced today that a new concert for the Final Fantasy video game franchise will be performed in Los Angeles at Universal Amphitheatre. The concert will be conducted by Grammy award winner Arnie Roth and performed by the World Festival Symphony Orchestra and the CSUF University Singers, with special appearances by The Black Mages and additional guest performers who will be announced at a later date.
