Interstellar Trader 2, the latest release from Shrapnel Games, now has a patch available that brings the game up to version 1.3. The 422 KB sized patch is available here. The patch includes a wide variety of modifications to the game. While there are the normal changes found in a patch (i.e. stomping out pesky bugs), a number of the revisions are gameplay related.. Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Comics announced today that Electronic Arts has been awarded the worldwide interactive rights to develop, publish and distribute computer and video games based on the world's greatest super hero, Superman. Financial terms of the deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Comics were not disclosed.

The official site for Battlefield 1942 is updated with a new Vehicle, the German Sturmmorser Tiger (Sturmtiger). When the Germans needed a powerful field vehicle to destroy fortified positions, the idea to merge a heavy 38cm naval mortar (used to bust submarines) with a Tiger I tank chassis gave birth to the Sturmtiger. Following its rich tradition of intelligently crafted gameplay and wry humor, LucasArts announces Armed & Dangerous, a blast-happy action game about a smack-talking group of gun-toting rebels, a ridiculously impossible quest, and weapons that cause really, really big explosions. The game is being developed in conjunction with Planet Moon Studios and is expected to release winter 2003 for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and PC.

Command & Conquer Generals, from Electronic Arts has taken the market by storm claiming victory at retail outlets nationwide for two consecutive months. The modern warfare-based game has been ranked the No. 1 selling PC game for February and March, according to NPD Group/NPD TechWorld.

Codemasters has confirmed that IndyCar Series, the official video game of the U.S. open-wheel Indy Racing League, has gone gold. The title will ship to retail outlets nationwide for the PlayStation2 on May 20 – prior to the Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500), the largest attended one-day sporting event in the world. The Xbox version of the popular PC multiplayer shooter will contain all the current content of the PC version plus all of the content of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero single player game.
