As being mentioned in various places America's Army developers are trying to fix up some of the mess they made with the initial Recon release. The America's Army: Operations 'Recon' website mentions that a new update for this tactical first-person shooter by the U.S. Army is expected to be ready for release tomorrow. You will be able to choose from either a 3MB patch or an updated full Recon download. The patch will address "client and server-side flooding issues," the "Sniper Rifle bug from random weapon selection" and more, as well as adding "Community Game Server Support" and an "Admin Spectator Mode." Of course we WILL keep you posted when it arrives...

Later on today LucasArts will be releasing the 1.04 update for Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast on their

Warthog have announced that they have signed the publishing rights to their original property X10 to Conspiracy Entertainment. Conspiracy has worked with Warthog before in creating games for The Warner Bros. Licenses Tiny Toons and Animaniacs , via Conspiracy’s joint venture with SWING! X10 is a first person shooter for PC, Xbox, GameCube and PlayStation2. Termite Games and Project 3 Interactive have been working around the clock for these last 4 weeks to fix and upgrade the released multiplayer test of New World Order. The list of fixes span several pages and they will make them public upon release of the next Multi Player test. There were several serious issues with the previous MP test that kept people from playing it over the net, especially those who were running the Windows 95/98/ME platforms. Former ION studio executives to teach classes at UTD.. The spectacular rise and fiery crash of Dallas-based computer game development studio ION Storm were landmark events in the game industry. Now, the two men who piloted ION Storm, John Romero and Tom Hall, have resurfaced in the most unlikely of jobs: college professors. Starting in the fall semester, Mr. Romero, 34, and Mr. Hall, 37, will be instructing computer science majors at the University of Texas at Dallas on the finer points of game programming and design. "We're really excited to teach because we love to teach what we know, and this is the perfect place to do it," Mr. Romero said.

Grom is a simplified RPG with real-time battles that are tightly woven into its intricate and non-linear plotline. Grom strives to recapture some of the feel of point-and-click adventures while following an RPG-style, character-focused plotline. The main character Colonel Grom is dedicated to fight the Nazis and to prevent them from obtaining a mysterious weapon that could enable them to take over world power. The smart colonel is not the only hero who has to stand up against the Nazis. Support is guaranteed by his fellow heroes and these will be presented in a short series as of today.
