Oblivion is a single-player RPG that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to an empty throne, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. On Oct. 15 Bethesda will release the final 'Fighter’s Stronghold' plugin, free for only 1 week. A Shivering Isles download/retail for PS3 is still in the works.

Super Smash Bros Brawl featuring Sonic announcements, Nintendo revealed a few other tidbits. Super Mario Stadium Baseball for the Wii, Fire Emblem DS, a new DS Demo Channel will be added to the Wii, although no details on what exactly it will offer. Mario Kart Wii will include motorbikes and come bundled with the Wii Steering Wheel. New Wiiware titles such as Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Bomberman, Pokemon Farm (import Diamond/Pearl monsters from your NDS) and Doctor Mario Wii.

Expected to make an appearance on the PS3, Capcom surprised everybody at the Nintendo Fall Conference in Japan by announcing Monster Hunter 3 for the Wii instead. No further details were revealed, but MH Tri-, pronounced as "try," is part of Nintendo's multiplatform strategy, so maybe there will be a PS3 version somewhere down the line.
