Empire Interactive has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Atari to bring its titles to the North American market, such as Animal Paradise (NDS), Pipe Mania (NDS, PSP PS2, PC), Unsolved Crimes (NDS), and Hello Kitty: Big City Dreams (NDS).

After many quarters (years?) of doom and gloom, Atari must be overjoyed that its Q1 2009 financial result shows signs of improvement with net revenue clocking in at $40.3 million vs. Q1 2008's $10.4 million, with its net income jumping from last year's $11.9 million loss to a positive $3.5 million, no doubt driven by the Alone in the Dark release.

Atari announced results for its Q4 of fiscal 2008 and its March 31, 2008 year-end revealing net revenue for the quarter and overall year were down, but also the net loss for both cycles have been significantly reduced.
