Atari has released its latest financial results, revealing that while it has improved its incoming it is still running a €6.2 million loss, however that is merely half of its loss last year. Less positive news for the people at Eden Games, it's workforce is being trimmed to merely 30 people, while Atari is getting rid of Cryptic Studios altogether.

The Tale of Despereaux is an interactive game based on Universal Pictures’ animated adventure of the same name. The game shares the fairy-tale look and feel of the upcoming film about a chivalrous mouse, full of courage and honor. Since the demise of Brash Entertainment, it has been quiet around The Tale of Despereaux, but with the imminent release of the movie, Atari picked up all platforms, but oddly not the Xbox 360 edition.

While Atari isn't exactly flourishing financially, it's still not as bad off as Midway and has been on a spending spree, signing a slew of titles in the past few months. At its Atari Live press event in London today, Infogrames president Phil Harrison revealed that the French publisher plans on bringing back several of its key, but dormant, franchise in the future. While there was nothing to announce just yet, we can expect new installments in the Baldur's Gate, Dungeons & Dragons and Test Drive franchises.
