Noticed on
VPRO that Polygon Magazine has a quote from Valve's Gabe Newell that Half-Life might be delayed until 2005. "We've already spent millions into this project, and we're willing to spend as much as we need to make this the best first person experience ever. If that means delaying the game to 2005, we'll do it without any hesitation. If it means sinking another $20 million into the project, we can do it. Rest assured, if we delay the game, it'll be only to blow your socks off even more when it finally releases."

It’s been a really long day. You’ve put in 10 hours on the job. The commute home was a nightmare. You were cut off no fewer than 5 times by self-important pinheads that seem to have Ericsson cell phones grafted to their skulls. Everyone you did business with today had a major superiority thing going on. You have an overwhelming urge to, as I say to my wife, “blow sh*t up.” You sit down at your PC or your console, you fire up your flavor-of-the-month, and you aim for the nearest thing that isn’t you…

Wait `til you hear! On June 7, Nintendo is going totally retro with a classic collection of eight Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games for the GBA and a tubular new GBA SP that looks like an itty bitty NES console. The `80s were, like, a long time ago. But everything from then is way cool again. Back then, games went from blocky bleeps and bloops to sweet side-scrollers like Super Mario Bros. And the most excellent NES saved the day for the video game industry. Bonus!
