Croteam CEO Roman Ribaric has
announced that the company has recently begun "development on two games, one of which is the next Serious Sam FPS game." The game will use the proprietary Serious 3 engine, and Croteam is close to signing a publishing deal for the title. A lot still remains to be done on the game, though, so there's no firm release date.

In early 2008, German-based Factor 5
had signed a multi-game development deal with Brash Entertainment, but due to
the publisher's demise, Factor 5 found itself in a tight spot later in the year and was forced to
lay off half of its staff. Now things have taken a turn for the worse, as Factor 5 announced that it has closed down its California studio, known for Lair and Star Wars Rogue Squadron III, as it was no longer able to keep it open due to the aforementioned issues.

Rumored for the past few weeks and expected to be introduced at next month's E3, it seems that Microsoft is working on a full body motion control camera, similar to Nintendo's Wiimote concept. According to the
Wall Street Journal, "Microsoft is developing a new video camera for the Xbox 360 console that will allow players to control games with the movement of their bodies," and the camera would sit near the TV, capture when players move their hands, legs or head, and "it won't require users to hold any hardware to control on-screen action."
