The 1979 classic action movie "The Warriors" was made into a video game in 2005 by Rockstar, and now 30 years after its debut it seems CTXM, known for Heavy Weapon and Feeding Frenzy, are going to adapt the movie into a classic brawler/beat 'em up game.

Maxis, Will Wright's former studio, known for The Sims franchise and spin-offs, wants to branch out by changing to the online multiplayer genre and tackling action as well. A new job listing (
thanks superannuation) reveals that Maxis is looking for
an experienced lead designer to help develop a fast-paced multiplayer action game focused on heavy customizability. Experience in the RPG, combat, or card collection game design genre is a plus.

EA announced that its EA Redwood Shores Studio, currently working on Dante's Inferno and Dead Space: Extraction, and two other unannounced titles, has been renamed and rebranded Visceral Games to better reflect the studio's culture, identity and focus on creating intense action-oriented games.

Scheduled to go down on May 1, Shadowbane got an reprieve until July 1, 2009, and while Ubisoft is trying to get rid of the MMORPG, AeriaGames is interested in taking over and currently checking the viability of the game.

A few years back, Valve sued Sierra/Vivendi in a copyright infringement case where it claimed that Valve was the only authorized party to license its games to cybercafes. In 2005, the two parties finally
