Octagon is seeking publishing partners in Asia for Battle Cards: MetalTech from Swedish developer
Disciples of the Machine. MetalTech is a massively multiplayer online game that is a rare find in the MMOG genre as it features addictive gameplay involving trading cards. Players must strategically choose which cards to unleash from their own decks to conquer challengers' front lines of defense. Cards are divided into seven categories and function in terms of combat tactics, energy and special effects. The game is designed so that players can download the game client and practice free of charge. Advanced decks are available for purchase and new card packs are introduced each month. MetalTech also offers a spectator option in which players can scope out the competition in the heat of battle. MetalTech is scheduled to be completed Q2 2003.

Deck 13 is the newest addition to Octagon's client portfolio.
Octagon will be shopping the team's vehicular tactical action game Stealth Combat to publishers in North America, South America and Asia. Development for the PC title is complete... Players take on the role of a military special unit leader that has been assigned the task of averting nuclear conflict in threatened areas. Jeeps, tanks, choppers, amphibious units and even walking vehicles (Mechs) are all part of the armory. Players may assume the command of any vehicle or order units to carry out tasks independently. The player can often solve missions by careful exploration of the area, sneaking towards the enemy and a executing fast and effective attack. Other missions are more fire-intensive and the player must prove that he has the quickest finger on the trigger.

Encore today announced that Dragon's Lair 3D-Return to the Lair for the Nintendo GameCube™ has gone gold. This completely new, built-from-the-ground-up version of the legendary Dragon's Lair coin-op phenomenon is scheduled to ship to store shelves by year end; the "Teen" rated game will retail for approximately $50. The PlayStation2 version, which will have identical content and gameplay, is still scheduled for release at the end of first quarter next year.
