According to the Office of Film and Literature, Australian equivalent of the ESRB, Tozai Games, currently already working on Lode Runner for Xbox Live Arcade, will be bringing R-Type Dimensions to XBLA as it has just been given a "general" classification. For the people not in the know, R-Type is Irem’s legendary coin operated side-scrolling shoot'm up (aka schmup) arcade game that has been around since the 80s.

Diablo III is an action RPG where you create a hero from one of five distinct classes, each equipped with an array of spells and abilities, and adventure through rich and varied settings, unraveling an epic storyline and engaging in combat with hordes of monsters and challenging bosses.
Last month Diablo fans had started a petition, which currently has over 50k signatures, expressing their dislike about the game's artistic direction, but according to lead designer Jay Wilson
it won't matter as it's too far into the development to make any changes, and the team is happy with the current style.

In tow with Valve, Blizzard is planning to add to StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 but is starting its experiment with the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion which will track player's achievements and centralize the info into Blizzard Account according to
an interview with WoW lead designer Jeff Kaplan. As more of its games get added, the system will migrate to an Xbox Live type gamerscore where players can compare statistics from their various Blizzard games with other people.
Damnation features open environments, frenetic combat, daredevil acrobatics and high-octane vehicle-based stunts. Presenting players with an intense test of reflexes, quick thinking and rapid-fire conflict, Damnation will feature vast landscapes, each covering miles of distance and thousands of vertical feet.

Sony has
rolled out new PlayStation Store content starting with the organic platformer PixelJunk Eden ($9.99), Soul Calibur IV: Customization Equipment 1 ($1.49), four new Rock Band tracks ($1.99 for Staind's This is It, Scars on Broadway's They Say, and Testament's Electric Crown, while thenewno2's Yomp goes for $0.99). Plenty of material to try out with demos for LEGO Indiana Jones, Facebreaker, and Madden 09. There are of course also the usual game/movie trailers, PS3 themes and wallpapers.

During Activision's Q1 2009, net revenues increased 32%, and with the newly combined forces, Activision Blizzard's calender year '08 financial outlook already exceeds the '09 targets. During the follow-up conference call, Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith revealed next year will see "multiple" new Guitar Hero titles that will broaden the franchise's impact, as well as an all-new Call of Duty using leapfrog studio strategy, meaning it will be developed by Infinity Ward. Also expected are an unannounced racing game from Bizzare Creations, Madagascar 2, the re-invented Tony Hawk, Marvel's Wolverine, Monsters vs. Aliens, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Transformers 2, the previously revealed Singularity, Prototype, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and others.

While there probably wont be any game specific details regarding BioShock 2 revealed for quite some time, while its development is no secret there has yet to be an official announcement, a
job application for 2K Boston reveals that, unlike the original, BioShock 2 will include multiplayer. Looking for a game designer to lead a multiplayer design team the app form states "BioShock had no multi-player mode. We don't believe in throwing in something that can’t go head to head with the big boys."
