Both the BioShock PC Patch and the 360 Title Update will be available next week. In additon to these fixes, we will be releasing downloadable content free on both Xbox Live and for the PC, with the DLC bundled into the PC Patch. A full list of bug fixes and everything included in the DLC will be put up on the Cult of Rapture when the downloads become available.

Sony has rolled out its weekly PlayStation Store update with tons of new material. Just like on XBL, Harmonix has released the David Bowie songpack ($5.49 or $1.99/song) while Activision's Guitar Hero III: Boss Battles Track Pack is free. Motorstorm gets new vehicles and skins ($1.99), while Resistance: Fall of Man gets its second Map Pack (two new maps, each of which is playable in all sizes and all modes for $4.99). On top of that SCEA released the full game PAIN ($9.99) , and Bethesda made Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles downloadable ($29.99).

Konami Assistant Producer Ryan Payton claims Metal Gear Solid 4 needs to sell over
a million copies on the first day it goes on sale in order to recoup its costly production, but that MGS 4 might be last in a dying breed on console exclusives. Cost for triple A next-gen titles range between $10-$50 million, so publishers are increasingly going multi-platform to make sure they at least break even. ony currently has 15 internal development studios, more than Microsoft and Nintendo combined.

Activision has signed an
deal with Discovery Communications to develop animal-themed games based on various shows on the TV station's Animal Planet channel such as as Meerkat Manor and Orangutan Island. The multi title agreement will focus on games that appeal to younger and older players outside the core audience of teenage boys, and are scheduled for released in late 2008.

A few days ago, Valve announced it would have Universe at War: Earth Assault available for download on launch day, but now it seems SEGA is expanding its Steam lineup with The Golden Compass, Sega Rally Revo, Sega Revo, Worldwide Soccer Manager, Futbol Manager and more. In addition to the new games, Sega titles previously released on Steam to customers in North America, such as Medieval II: Total War and Rome: Total War, are now available to Steam gamers in Europe and most of the world.
