Bohemia Interactive forums reveals that eventhough Codemasters won't be present, Bohemia will be showing off current and new titles. "We're pleased to confirm that Bohemia Interactive will be at this year's E3. Marek Spanel and myself will be in attendance at room 6941 of Kentia hall where we intend to announce our release plans for 2005 and beyond. We will also reveal further details about the games we're currently working on."

Paving the way for SCi's takeover, Gamindustry.biz is reporting that Elevation Partners has withdrawn from the bidding race to take over ailing developer/publisher Eidos. Former EA president John Riccitiello made a statement this morning that they would no longer be pursuing avenues to invest, clearing the path for shareholders to accept SCi's offer instead. Once ratified, SCi already promised it would restructure Eidos from the top down, and transforms the studio according to its own model, as it has done with Oivotal, known for its Conflict franchise.

Dutch Streamline Studios announce today that it is currently servicing several next-generation developments at its studio. "We've spent time refining our systems and field testing our pipeline to ensure a one-stop solution for next-generation development hurdles and the results have been superb" stated Harpp Seble, SLS CFO. Titles currently being serviced include two platform launch titles as well as developments that utilize Unreal 3 technology. Streamline Studios will be attending E3 this year and will be holding meetings with developers and publishers regarding their next-generation creative and engineering needs.

One hundred years have passed since the evil Sorcerer Zarok was defeated at the Battle of Gallowmere, heroically cut down by a mortally wounded Sir Daniel Fortesque. Or at least, that's what the people were told; in fact poor Sir Dan was a bit of a coward, falling in the very first wave of arrows. Now Zarok has returned, turning day into night, and raising an undead army to conquer the land. As a side effect Dan has also been resurrected... now, he has the chance to defeat Zarok and in death become the hero he never was in life.

Sony Online Entertainment today announced plans for Station Exchange, the official auction site for SOE games. Station Exchange, scheduled for launch in late June, will be the official, secure way for EverQuest II subscribers to buy and sell the rights to use characters, items and coin in a player-to-player auction setting. The community has already raised questions about how SOE is going to handle item farmers or incompetent players just "buying" a high level character without either knowing to play the game, or having earned it.

retailer in South Africa has a listing for an upcoming Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth expansion pack. No additional information was listed, apart from it being scheduled for release in September 2005. We contacted EA to see if there was any truth to the matter, and all we got was, "Rumors and speculation, no comment," but also a friendly piece of advice: "I wouldn't line up outside the store." A very popular franchise, a good RTS, and EA so an expansion pack would not be unheard of, but only time will tell ...

... and then there were two. Citing fears that Sony and Microsoft might copy some of the revolutionary ideas, Nintendo head honcho Satoru Iwata decided to withdraw previous statements and has now decided to not show the new Nintendo Revolution at E3 next month. Instead, visitors will have to be content with rolling demos of titles in development, a better look at the Nintendo online service, new Pokemon titles, and a new playable version of the latest Zelda title. We will be on site and report live if anything exciting does happen.
