Today, Ubisoft announced the third release in the CSI video game franchise, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: 3 Dimensions of Murder. CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder will be based on the characters and storylines from the original hit television series CSI, and will launch worldwide for PC in spring 2006.

Dimension Films has closed a North American distribution deal on "Castlevania," a thriller based on the Konami videogame franchise that Paul W.S. Anderson will adapt and direct. Dimension Films closed a deal Monday morning at 2:30 with Crystal Sky Pictures' Steven Paul and Benedict Carver, who'd just bought rights from Konami.

Square Enix has revealed a new MMORPG called Fantasy Earth: Ring of Domination which will try to combine RTS, RPG and Action, allowing you to forge alliances, build fortresses and citadels and duke it out with your allies against huge armies. Midway today announced that it has signed an exclusive worldwide, multi-year agreement with TNA Entertainment to publish videogames based on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, for consoles, handheld and PC. The first TNA Wrestling product,TNA iMPACT!, is scheduled to ship in 2007 for current generation game systems.

Take 2's financial results revealed a substantial delay for Bethesda's RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Over the weekend PR Manager Pete Hines posted a
community update giving more insight into the reason why: "In short, the game is coming out in early 2006 because it isn't done yet. We still have things that need to be done before the game is released. So we continue to optimize, test, balance, etc. We've already gone way beyond what we did in any game previously in playtesting and balancing this game. Way beyond. But there is work that needs to be done and so development continues to go on pretty much around the clock. We will not put out a more specific date until we are certain we will be ready then. "

EA today launched Tank Wars, a competition that challenges Computer Science students to compete for the title of "Best of Breed" and take home a new gaming PC complete with an EA line-up of PC titles. The Tank Wars competition invites computer science students to demonstrate their skill by writing an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) program that pits one military tank against another in a battle for supremacy.
