NCSoft Launches 'Lineage Dark Conquest, Episode 3: Life and Death'

NCsoft today announces the latest chapter to its massively multiplayer game, Lineage. Dark Conquest, Episode 3: Life and Death launches today on North American servers. This episode continues the story of the Lastabad Dark Elf army, introducing the group’s headquarters in the Diad Fortress. The fortress is located in the underground region of Lineage’s fictional world of Aden.

SEGA Signs Exlcusive Publishing Agreement With Silicon Knights

SEGA today announced an agreement to acquire and publish next-generation game content from Silicon Knights, the Ontario, Canada-based development team responsible for such hits as Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and Eternal Darkness. The partnership brings SEGA more Western-developed content in preparation for high-growth opportunities presented by next-generation hardware platforms.

Vivendi Acquires Radical Entertainment

Vivendi today announced that VU Games has completed the purchase of independent console developer, Radical Entertainment, known for Simpsons: Hit & Run, and currently developing Hulk Destruction and Scarface. Under the agreement, VU Games will retain Radical's team of more than 200 development professionals, as well as acquire the studio's exclusive game development technologies. Radical's founder Ian Wilkinson has been named President of Radical Entertainment, and the studio will remain in Vancouver, Canada.

SEGA of America today announced the availability of SEGA Classics Collection on the PS2. The SEGA Classics Collection is a value-priced compilation of nine remixed arcade hits. Included in the compilation are OutRun, Space Harrier, Golden Axe, Virtua Racing, Columns, Fantasy Zone, Alien Syndrome, Monaco GP, and Bonanza Bros. All of the games have been given fresh audio tracks and graphical enhancements. SEGA Classics Collection is rated ‘T' for ‘Teen' and is available at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $19.95.
