"Heroes" actor Masi Oka, known as Hiro on the TV series, is working on a new MMORPG called The Defenders, according to the
Hollywood Reporter, which also reveals that Dreamworks has signed on to make the IP into a new feature film. The Defenders centers on a group of teenagers playing in a multiplayer video game, forced to come together for a real adventure and becoming inadvertent heroes in the process. The movie will be produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. D.J. Caruso, known for The Goonies and Transformers, is in talks to direct the flick.

Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.
A scan of the Games' magazine back cover reveals that Battlefield 1943 will be available for download on PSN/XBL, June 25, 2009.
UPDATE: EA informed us that this is a misprint, and the game will not be available at said date, but rather later this summer, as initially planned.

The originator of the stealth-action genre, the original Metal Gear Solid takes place in the southern Alaska region around the Bering Sea and is coming to the PlayStation Network on June 18th, 2009 for the SRP of $9.99.
