A few days ago Akella announced that its also developing an upcoming third-person title called Axle Rage for the PlayStation 2 and PC platforms. No specific details are known, unless you speak Russian, but it seems the 3D post-apocalyptic biker version of GTA3 mixed with Road Rash will make use of Criterion Software’s RenderWare. Celtic Kings is an RTS which combines strategy and role-playing elements in single mode, and which also includes online multi-player functions. Players must take control of the destiny of the heroic Larax and try and lead him to victory by developing a personal strategy and showing a mastery of military tactics. GarageGames announced today the release of the Mac OS X version of their highly acclaimed title, Marble Blast. The Mac demo features five playable levels and access to several of the game's power up items. The software company that makes the David Beckham Soccer Game has collapsed, with the loss of 77 jobs. Receivers have been appointed by Liverpool-based computer game firm Rage Software, ending hopes that a rescue package could be put together. The Liverpool-based firm is now likely to be broken up, and any new games it is working on sold off.

Guess how many people have applied to change their names to "Turok"?? No, go on, guess.
Acclaim UK invited applications to take part in a project known as Identity Marketing, whereby individuals will change their names by deed poll to Turok, the hero in the title of Acclaim's epic new release, Turok: Evolution. In a little over 12 hours, over 3,000 people have applied to swap their identities for those of a video game character and new applications are being submitted to the website that is dedicated to this project at the rate of 20-30 per minute.

THQ Inc. and Fox Interactive today announced an exclusive, worldwide Game Boy Advance publishing agreement for two new titles. Universal Interactive, Inc. (UI), a studio of Vivendi Universal Publishing, announced further details today regarding its upcoming video game titles based on Universal Pictures' The Hulk, the eagerly-anticipated feature film from acclaimed director Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). Based upon one of Marvel Comics' most memorable and popular superhero series, this film is scheduled for release on June 20, 2003.
