EA announced preliminary financial results for its fiscal Q3 revealing net revenue was up 17% ($1.5 billion compared to $1.3 billion for 2006) driven by FIFA 08, Madden 08, NBA Live 08, Need for Speed Pro Street, Rock Band (1.5 million sold), The Simpsons Game and The Sims 2 Castaway. EA expects Battlefield: Bad Company and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames to ship in fiscal 2009 (Apr. 1, 2008 - Mar. 31, 2009), confirming the latter's

Rumblings and rumors have been persistent for quite a while now, but according to
TradingMarkets, an industry insider claims that the first foreign online game for China's leading online game operator, Netease.com, will be Starcraft Online, developed by US-based Blizzard. Netease CEO Ding Lei didn't confirm the rumor, only stating that it is observing many online games and has not signed any formal license contract.
