Earlier this year we reported that EALA was already working on the next installment in the MoH franchise for nearly six months. The new title will be a Band of Brothers (or Brothers in Arms) type title, but more importantly, it was mentioned that Airborne would be a PS3 launch title. Now additional reports are circulating that MoH: Airborne is also coming to the Xbox 360 and preliminary retail listings have it scheduled for November 2006.

Despite rampant rumors of delay, Sony said on Thursday that it remained on track to roll out its new PlayStation 3 by spring 2006. The timing is of particular importance, as the PS3 will include Sony's new Blu-ray next-generation DVD technology. Having the console ready simultaneously as the Blu-ray would mean a great advantage, as it provides them with an instant user base.

Danish developer Zero Point Software has revealed the first details of its brand new next-gen first person shooter Project IM. Koei today announced plans to have their futuristic racing game Fatal Inertia ready for release when Sony's PS3 console is launched in Japan. It will be KOEI's first game for Sony's next-gen console and also one of their first titles to emerge from their brand new development studio in Canada. Fatal Inertia is scheduled for release in Spring 2006.

The PS3 title list we published on Friday mentioned that Koei was working on an all new unnamed, action title for the PS3. Merely a day later the first details emerge and Bladestorm is revealed. Under development at Omega Force, known for the Dynasty Warriors series, Bladestorm will offer massive battles mixed with strategy, much like the DW titles, but one of the main differences is that the game will be situated in the Western medieval timeframe.

As you can see from the screens and trailer, Snake is much older than any of the previous titles, and the events in MGS 4 take places several years after Metal Gear Solid 2. The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that Capcom is bringing its popular Samurai franchise to the next-gen, and each platform will be getting its own title. Way of the Samurai 3 will be the name of the action/adventure title on Playstation 3, while the X360 is getting Way of the Samurai Online. No specific information is available at this point, but the upcoming Tokyo Game Show will surely bring more light to the matter. While the Xbox 360 title is expected at the end 2006, the PS3 version is currently scheduled for 2007.
