CDV Software Entertainment UK has today revised the release dates for two of its hotly-tipped PC CD-ROM titles in order to add some crucial features and ensure the finished titles devastate the competition. Hungarian developer Mithis Games has joined CDV and Philos Labs to work on space strategy title Imperium Galactica III. Originally planned for release at the end of 2002, the extra development time will allow the team to add a new multiplayer mode - extending the shelf life of this already colossal game.

Cinemaware’s epic game production, Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown is currently in development at the company’s headquarters in Burlingame, California. The product is based on Cinemaware’s hit game Defender of the Crown, first released in 1986 on the Commodore Amiga and subsequently to a variety of platforms where sold over 1,000,000 units worldwide. Simon & Schuster Interactive announced today that its Real Time Strategy (RTS) game "Soldiers of Anarchy" for the PC has shipped to retail and will be in stores by Friday. SOLDIERS OF ANARCHY (S.O.A.) combines elements of Real Time Strategy (RTS) and squad- based tactical games to create a uniquely customizable single and multiplayer experience. Mercurysteam Entertainment, the Madrid-based computer game developer, has just released its corporate website. The Projects section has some artwork posted related to MSE first project. MSE's first title, which name they have not unveiled yet, will be "a shaking 3D arcade with tons of action, humour and an awesome multiplayer component", tells Dario Halle, co-founder and lead programmer, and it's planned to release during 2004.

Electronic Arts announced today the North American release of The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers video game for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and revealed plans to bring this highly-anticipated title to the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube later this year. The Nintendo Game Boy Advance version will ship on Tuesday, November 12.

The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal, is an expansion pack for the critically acclaimed and multi-award winning RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for PC. Tribunal will introduce additional content and features, and adventures into the already staggering game world of Morrowind. The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal will be released in Europe this November in an English language version, with localized French and German versions following in early 2003.

Codemasters has released a new patch for Prisoner of War, if you are running WinMe or Win98 then get this update off the Codemasters downloads page. It address a problem with the wrong language chosen by the launcher and a problem where the launcher may start minimized. There is also a Privateer's Bounty patch available, updating the game to v1.04.151. This upgrade addresses improves multiplayer stability, a couple of bugs, damaged system and long distance views of the models. A few weeks after the English patch, there is now a German patch for Ghost Recon, likewise updating this edition of the squad-based tactical shooter by Red Storm Entertainment to version 1.3. As before, this release adds a huge number of changes, including gameplay, graphics, AI, editor and multiplayer improvements and fixes.
