Midway just announced that Defender, an all-new 3-D version of the popular 1980s arcade classic, has shipped for the Xbox and GameCube and will ship on Thursday, Nov. 7th for the Game Boy Advance. Defender is also currently available for the PlayStation2.

Since 1.0.07 was released back in March we have been working hard on a number of fixes and significant enhancements and tweaks to BCM. The plan is to release a final stable single patch and then release the free multiplayer patch which we are also working on.

In order to ensure that all known issues are resolved before releasing the multiplayer patch, we have been releasing RC patches to interested parties. Today, the 1.0.08 RC23 has been made available as a wide release. We expect the next patch to be the final 1.0.08 patch and which will replace this RC23. The multiplayer patch will follow after.

Bethesda Softworks announced today that The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal - the expansion pack for its critically acclaimed RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for PC - has gone to gold master and will begin arriving in stores throughout North America late next week. Tribunal introduces additional content and features into the already staggering game world of Morrowind, and can be experienced by any player at any point. During the E3'2002 in May Primal Soft announced a new game was coming and they have worked on it non-stop for almost a year now. The time has come to reveal it to the world - it's coming to completion rapidly and they'd like to wet your appetite a bit first. The game is called Besieger and it's a realtime 3D strategy. Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced that Battle Realms: Winter of the Wolf, developed by Thousand Oaks, CA based Liquid Entertainment, has gone gold. The add-on for Battle Realms features extra missions, weapons, characters, and an all-new epic storyline that takes place seven years prior to the events in the original Battle Realms. Winter of the Wolf is co-published by Ubi Soft Entertainment and Crave Entertainment for the PC and is scheduled to release November 5.

The Official Shadowbane Web site just updated its new series detailing the stories and legends inside the worlds of Aerynth. CDV Software Entertainment AG has today signed the rights to publish the 3D tactical combat title PANZERS. The game, to be published on the PC format, is developed by Hungarian studio Stormregion and to be released end of 2003. More info below with some early screens!

Midway Games Inc. a leading software industry publisher and developer, announced today that revolutionary FreeFormer gameplay will be featured in Haven: Call Of The King, a groundbreaking action and fantasy console videogame, which is in development and scheduled to ship Nov. 18 for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. The title is also scheduled to ship for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube in 2003.
