Sony Computer Entertainment announced PlayStation Plus, a new subscription service package on PlayStation Network that will, in addition to the current free to use features and services, bring value-added offerings including exclusive services and content.

SCEA announced the PlayStation Protection Plan, an extended service offer for the PS3 and PSP systems, allowing owners in the United States to purchase an extended service plan of one or two years that begins after the original one-year manufacturer's limited warranty expires.

Sony Computer Entertainment announced the PlayStation Move motion controller for PS3, offering a motion-based, high-definition gaming experience. Concurrently with its launch, SCE will also release PlayStation Move sub-controller to be used along with the motion controller for intuitive navigation of in-game characters and objects.
