Aion is the ultimate MMORPG with strengthened interaction between players. Aion’s world consists of 3 realms - the heavens, the devildom and the dragon realm. Players will experience dynamic communications with the world of Aion as they conduct strategic battles. NCSoft let us know that the open beta launches in Korea Nov. 11 and that the game is currently being localized and plans for testing phases in North America and Europe are being made.

Crystal Dynamics has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic with fluid movements due to motion capturing. Set a few years after the last game, it also features persistent destruction and lush locales across the globe. Lara gets muddy in the game, but with the weather system, rain will wash it away. Eidos has released a 1.2Gb demo on XBL, with the PC version to follow on Friday.

Saints Row 2 offers vastly expanded customization options, a totally transformed and expanded city of Stilwater, new vehicles, sandbox tools and toys as well as both online co-op and competitive multiplayer. A few weeks back, we revealed that a third installment in the Saints Row franchise was in the works, but today, Associate Producer Dan Sutton revealed that it would be taking the next title in "a new direction."

With the holidays approaching, the hunt for the perfect gift begins anew, and ever since its launch, the Wii has been a hard-sought, and even harder to find, item. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime recently told the L.A. Times that production is going full speed ahead. It currently has 33% more Wiis rolling off the belt than a year ago, and it will further ramp up production to 50% more units than the 2007 holiday season.

Last week THQ filed a lawsuit with the US District Court of Central California against Activision, claiming the upcoming SCORE International Baja 1000 box cover is too similar to its own BAJA title released last month. Both boxes show similar vehicles in almost identical positions, and although THQ contacted Activision to settle things out of court, they refused to make any changes, hence the lawsuit (thanks Patent Arcade).

ArenaNet has signed a licensing agreement with occlusion culling technology Umbra Software to use its visibility optimization technology in future Guild Wars titles.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 will unleash a new tag team experience, allowing players to build momentum and attributes, eliminate opponents with high impact double teams and finishers, as well as get the hot tag for the win. The PS3 exclusive collector’s edition includes the game and a Blu-ray disc with making of footage and more than two hours of WWE match footage, delivered in a unique steel cage package (North America) or encased within a miniature ring (Europe and Asia Pacific).
