Ensemble Studios Surprised by Closure, Was Working on 'Halo' MMO At Some Point

Issuing an early goodbye, Ensemble Studios Bruce Shelley reveals that the Microsoft owned studio was as surprised as the rest of the industry when confirmation came that the Age of Empires powerhouse was getting shut down. Once its current Halo Wars project wraps up later this year, doors will be closed, and while several key figures will move forward with another studio, Shelley will most likely not be part of it. In a related story, it was uncovered that at some point Ensemble was working on a Halo MMO, which eventually got canceled before ever officially being announced.

LucasArts announced that The Force Unleashed has sold more than 1.5 million copies, making it both the fastest-selling Star Wars game and LucasArts game ever.

Xbox 360 Passes Six-Million Unit Milestone in Europe

Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 has broken through the six million mark in Europe. A reduction in the estimated retail price (ERP) of the console last week has brought the entry-level ERP for Xbox 360 down to €179/£129.99.

KOEI is not bringing an adaptation of its Dynasty Warriors 6 title to the PSP, adding various new features, new stages, and an upgraded version of FW5's Musou Rage with super saiyan effects, and will have multiplayer and co-op support. Characters in Multi Raid have the ability to transform into a more powerful look, similar to the DragonBall Z titles (thanks Andreas).

The Witcher Enhanced Edition, CD Projekt's action/RPG, adds changes to the game's mechanics, better graphics, shorter load times, improved stability, the recently released D'jinni mod editor, two new adventures, making of DVD, two soundtracks, etc. The North American edition painstakingly had no blood, which is fixed by applying this patch.
