Konami announced the titles it will be present at the 2008 Leipzig Games Convention in Germany next week. Konami will use the five-day event to showcase a number of new titles, including PES 2009, Silent Hill Homecoming and a massive area dedicated to the ever-popular DancingStage franchise, as well as a selection of new, unannounced titles for the first time.

Empire Interactive has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Atari to bring its titles to the North American market, such as Animal Paradise (NDS), Pipe Mania (NDS, PSP PS2, PC), Unsolved Crimes (NDS), and Hello Kitty: Big City Dreams (NDS).

Bionic Commando Rearmed is a makeover of the classic 8-bit game released 20 years ago, but with updated visuals, new weapons, online rankings, a reworked musical score and the addition of a 2-player co-op mode. Although previously announced, Capcom revealed that it could not come to an agreement with Valve, so Bionic Commando Rearmed will not be available on Steam.

Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content starting with Capcom's classic remake Bionic Commando: Rearmed ($9.99), PSone classic Street Fighter Alpha for PSP/PS3, Roadrunner Records Pack 1 ($5.99) for Rockband, and demos for 1942: Joint Strike, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, NHL 2K9 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008.

THQ's Rocket Riot, developed by CodeGlue, is an action-packed side-view shooter featuring a bazooka-wielding jetpack soldier. With a highly stylized 8-bit era feel, players blast their way through the environment against enemies or multiplayer foes online.

SEGA announced the titles it will have on display at Games Convention 2008. The Samba de Amigo game series celebrates its comeback, while Sonic will also be taking the trip to Leipzig with Sonic Unleashed and BioWare's Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Activision announced History Civil War: Secret Missions, a completely new episode in the History Civil War franchise, the game will allow players to assume the role of Union and Confederate soldiers fighting behind enemy lines in legendary battles.
