Ubisoft announced that Driver, Ubisoft Reflections' 1999 racing game, will be coming to the PlayStation Network on Aug. 14th for €4.99. Driver puts you in the driving shoes of Tanner, an undercover cop tasked with infiltrating an illegal syndicate through his impressive driving skills in a variety of cities across the globe.

Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content starting with issue #3 of its Qore magazine, addon/DLC for NASCAR 09 (2.49) and Snakeball ($1.99), GH III Interscope track pack ($6.25), System of A Down ($1.99) and Cruefest #2 ($2.99) tracks for Rock Band. Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against Optical Experts Manufacturing, the North Carolina-based company it had used to makes copies of Assassin's Creed on PC. OEM failed to follow its own security measures and allowed an employee to take home a copy of the game, who then uploaded it on the internet six weeks before its official release. Ubisoft claims the leak was downloaded 700,000 times, costing the publisher millions of dollars, and is suing for breach of contract and negligence, asking for $10 million each.

Konami released its Q1 2009 financial results for the April-June quarter, revealing revenue went up 17% compared to the same period last year, while income jumped 65% dominated by the June 12 release of Metal Gear Solid 4, which has 3 million copies in two weeks. Kojima Productions' stealth action shooter boosted Konami's PS3 numbers from 1.3% last year to 57% this quarter, NDS, PS2 and PSP revenue dropped while Wii and X360 increased.
