A narrative-driven action experience BioShock allows players to do the impossible as they journey through an amazing, immersive and terrifying world. The PS3 version of 2K's genetically enhanced story-driven action game is getting new features and content. While the game itself does not support co-op, Bioshock is being developed by no less than four studios, 2K Boston, 2K Australia, 2K Marin and external studio Digital Extremes.

When Activision announced last year that it would merge with Vivendi Games not all its shareholders were in agreement with the $18.9 billion deal. Wayne County Employees' Retirement System filed a preliminary injunction which has now been denied by the Delaware Court of Chancery, so the merger can move forward.

Yesterday it was revealed that The Who's promised 1971 classic rock album Who's Next would be unable to be offered as DLC as Harmonix has been unable to locate all the masters of the decades old album. Instead The Who's Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey would create a 12-song best-of compilation pack of master recordings, which the remaining band members have now unveiled.

New reports from market research company DFC Intelligence forecasts worldwide video game industry revenue to reach $57 billion in 2009, including revenue from video game hardware and software, consoles, handhelds, PC games (including MMOs). There are currently 11 countries that have annual video game revenue in excess of $1 billion.
