The upcoming addition of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on June 4 marks the 100th classic game available on the Wii Shop Channel. And since going online Nov. 19, Wii owners have downloaded more than 4.7 million classic games, a rate of more than 1,000 games every hour since launch.

Activision released its fiscal year 2007 results revealing profits. Net revenue was up compared to last year, but although Q4 2007 sales and revenue doubled, they still turned a net loss of $14.4M. The conference call was more interesting, with Activision confirming Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Guitar Hero Rocks The 80s scheduled for July-Sept., while Call of Duty 4, a new Marvel title (probably Spider-Man: Friend or Foe), Guitar Hero III, Tony Hawk, and Bee Movie are all due later this fall. The next James Bond title is a ways off in 2008, along with other new IPs.

MGS4: Guns of the Patriots marks the next-gen debut of Hideo Kojima's tactical espionage action series with new gameplay features, spectacular graphics and the return of several characters from the series. Swedish print magazine Super Play claims to have received confirmation from Konami revealing MGS 4 is coming to X360. Scheduled for late 2008, it will include extra material such as VR missions and other bonus features.
