Independent game developer Foundation 9 Entertainment announced that it has spun off its Prince Edward Island, Canada based studio. The new entity will be known as Other Ocean Interactive; F9E will not retain any interest in the studio.

K2 Network announced a series of promotions to honor Memorial Day Weekend for its online military Free2Play shooter War Rock. Starting May 23rd all War Rock players will find the powerful Dual Berettas in their weapons inventory for seven full days. At its UbiDays 07 event earlier today in Paris, Ubisoft announced that it has it is working on another movie licensed title, Beowulf. Not the TV series or the 1999 Christopher Lambert movie, but rather Paramount's upcoming remake with Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich and Anthony Hopkins. Developed by 4HEAD and 3D-IO, no platforms or release schedule was revealed, but the movie itself is due November 2007.

Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto IV will be available as a special edition on October 16 in North America and October 19 in Europe, the same day as the regular edition of Grand Theft Auto IV.

A rescue mission to remember, Rush ‘n Attack is a heroic arcade action game, equipped with enhanced graphics, music, and sound effects. Xevious is an arcade classic that helped pioneer the vertical scrolling shooter genre. Both titles are coming to XBLA Wednesday, May 23 at 2:00 a.m. PDT.

Sony Computer Entertainment Korea's website has confirmation of earlier rumors that the PS3 might be getting a bigger harddrive. An FCC filing back in March revealed that Sony was working on an 80GB version, including some tweaks to the Bluetooth feature.
