SCEA announced the North American release of Gran Turismo HD Concept, available for free download on the PS3's PlayStation Store. Polyphony Digital Inc's driving game features an all-new course for players to be the first to drive a Ferrari on a PS3, as well as the option to select a car from nine other manufacturers including Infiniti, Lotus, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Suzuki.

While details are as good as non-existant, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic developer Arkane Studios and the art Director of Half-Life 2 are working on an all new project, The Crossing, powered by Valve's Source engine. According to
1UP this game, if pulled off successfully, could create a new genre of gaming, as it merges singleplayer with multiplayer in what is being called crossplayer-FPS. The Crossing will be cover story on the next Games for Windows issue.

The US Army has released a new updated version for America's Army: Special Forces (Coalition). This upgrade brings their team-based multiplayer game to v2.8 and includes the map creation tools to modify existing levels and/or create your own, ability to submit user-created content, map updates, the usual slew of bug / crash fixes, and game tweaks.

the PS3 a bust. Listed among disappointing box office movie Snakes on a Plane, O.J. Simpson's "If I Did it .." scandalous book, the underwhelming Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip TV series, and less than stellar Olympic performance of Bode Miller, is Sony's next-gen PS3 console, refered to as "How to blow a huge lead."
