While specific details are still somewhat sketchy, Konami did finally unveil the first details. As you can see from the screens and trailer, Snake is much older than any of the previous titles, and the events in MGS 4 take places several years after Metal Gear Solid 2. The trade association representing the industry's leading retailers of computer and video games, the Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association (IEMA) requested that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger veto Assembly Bill 1179, which would criminalize the sale of video games that depict certain types of violence. The controversial bill was passed by the California State Legislature and the governor now has thirty days to either sign it in to law or veto.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that Capcom is as good as finished with the development of Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, scheduled for release in Japan this coming winter. DMC 3: SE will let you to unlock Dante's evil twin Vergil and allow you to play through the entire game from his perspective. Capcom plans to include several new modes, such as a "very hard" setting and also allow you to watch the cutscenes back to back. More details will surely be revealed in a few days when TGS 2005 kicks off.
