In 2004, the EU ordered Microsoft to share program code with rivals as part of a ruling in its antitrust lawsuit. Now the EU believes Microsoft did not fully comply and
imposed a $357 million fine, and threatened new penalties of $3.82 million a day beginning July 31. Microsoft of course immediately said it would appeal the fine in court, saying the unprecedented fine is not justified. EU Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes says after two years, she feels Microsoft has still not put an end to its illegal conduct, justifying the penalty payments.

Blizzard seems not to be the only one hunting down cheaters and gold farmers as EA announced it has closed 180 game accounts and confiscated 15 Trillion gold pieces. Large number of checks for amounts over one million gold pieces were being abused by by exploiters to store extremely large amounts of gold, which have now been removed from the game.

While GTR 2 has yet to be released, 10Tacle has revealed that is it already working on their next racing title, codenamed Project Falcon.
AutoSimSport interviewed Blimey! Games' Ian Bell, where he mentioned the new title is scheduled for end of 2007, will be multiplatform, and although not part of the GTR series will feature multiple authentic racing types, with real world tracks.
